With influences that began in rural South Georgia, Jonathan’s compositional style is a combination of elements undeniably rooted in that place, along with many other musical experiences and collaborations along the way.
Growing up, Jonathan was profoundly influenced by music of the rural South. Traditional Hymns, Gospel, Country, Bluegrass, Folk, and Traditional all left permanent imprints. As a composer, these elements, combined with a deep interest and background in Classical music, and years of experience writing and performing Electronic and Rock, together provide a diverse creative well from which to draw.
Jonathan also has an absolute passion for film and television music and the creative process and magic that can occur when putting music to moving image.
